“Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys. Look upon them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death!” -Sun Tzu, The Art of War ................................... The Military of Hand of Set is composed of those members who show the most interest and dedication towards the PvP element of the game. The Military has many functions. First and foremost, it is the defender of the guild. They are in charge of defense of our city/battlekeep and are in charge of destroying our enemies’ battlekeep, morale, and will to fight us. Military Hierarchy Mesha’et (Fist of Set) – Supreme Commander of Hand of Set military forces. In PvP, his word is law. Apostle of Mesha’et – Commander of the Nekh’et Royal Guard. The Apostle of Mesha’et is also a Saew’et Commander and second in command in the Military. The Saew’et [Sae – wet] (meaning Guard) – The true elite of The Hand’s military. These men and women are the embodiment of hardcore PvPers. They play many many hours per day and spend nearly all of their time in the fields protecting Hand of Set’s assets. They answer to no one but the Military Leaders. Becoming a Saew’et is nearly impossible for anyone but the most hardcore and skilled players. The Nekh’et [ Nek – het] (meaning Royal) – The Royal Guards of the Hand of Set. These men and women are the guardians of the city and the Hand’s Leaders and Apostles. Think of them, if you will, as Hand of Set’s Praetorian Guard. This rank is more suitable for those who cannot be as hardcore as the Saew’et but wish to spend a great deal of time PvPing in the name of HoS. The Semaaiu’et [ Sem – ayu – et] (meaning Slayer) - These men/women are the bulk of Hand of Set's influence on the world. They are the slayers of all things against Set. They raid, they pillage, they rape. The Semaaiu'et have no commanders nor organization. They are set loose on the world like a giant wave of destruction and bloodlust. This Military rank may be held by anyone. There are no requirements associated with it. ................................... *More information on each rank’s requirement can be found in the Military Forum for members only* ................................... “The clever combatant imposes his will upon the enemy, but does not allow the enemy’s will to be imposed upon him” -Sun Tzu, The Art of War |
