Hand of Set was formed in June of 2006 by the great Prophet, Nkosi. She mysteriously disappeared, even to her online friends, around October of 2006. Yet our members were very strong and dedicated to what Hand of Set stood for. Under the leadership of Sanakhti, High Priestess, we have continued to grow and flourish.

Hand of Set is one of the largest Pre-Game AoC guilds. More importantly, Hand of Set contains the largest membership of active players. With monthly roll calls, we ensure our membership stays active on the forums

Hand of Set is a US based guild. Our official time zone is Eastern Standard Time. We do, however, accept Europeans if they are able to play on US servers.

Hand of Set will be located on a RP/PvP server. If Funcom does not use this format, we will be located on a PvP server.

Hand of Set's capital city is named Xu'Set (meaning Set's Splendor). It is located in the Purple Lotus Swamps on the border of Darfar and Keshan in southern Stygia.

Hand of Set's temple is called Necropolis. It is the most eloquent building in Xu'Set and the home of the Council of the Hand.

Hand of Set is composed of some of the most experienced MMORPG players out there. Many of our members have been dedicated to MMOs and playing for over seven years. Many of our members hail from Ultima Online, Shadowbane, and Dark Age of Camelot to name a few.

Hand of Set seeks to join a Player Verses Player/Role-Play server community. It intends to become a powerful, political force on it's chosen server.

Hand of Set plans to execute weekly or monthly server events, hosted by the guild. These events will be very ceremonial in nature and would be performed in safe areas like Khemi or Xu'Set (the Hand of Set home city)

Hand of Set has a very detailed Player Verses Player policy. We do not intend to become a gank guild. We perceive all foreigners as hostile, unless we have diplomatic agreements with them. As such, non Stygians are met with hostility in Stygian lands. Most importantly, Hand of Set backs it's pvp policy with lore.

Hand of Set requires Ventrilo access for all members who intend to participate in PvE and PvP events/raids.

Hand of Set is a founding member of the Hyborian Accord, a collection of powerful Pre-Game guilds whom desire to establish a mature server community.

Hand of Set has a naming policy which is heavily enforced. We require all applicants to choose Egyptian, Middle Eastern, Stygian style names; Cimmerian applicants must choose a suitable Cimmerian name.. Applicants with l33t names, silly names. or dudeish names are denied immediately. We take our lore very seriously.

Hand of Set encourages it's members to take part in forum role-play stories and in game role-play ceremonies. However, it is not required.

Hand of Set only accepts Stygians and Cimmerians into it's fold. Accepted classes are: Ranger, Assassin, Demonologist, Herald of Xotli, Necromancer, Guardian, Conquerer, Barbarian, and Dark Templar.

Hand of Set is at war with Snowhawk Clan, though we maintain a very friendly out of game relationship with them.

Hand of Set is on friendly terms with: Skullsplitters, Republic of the Silver Sun, Silver Wolf Clan, and Savage Nobility. These are guilds we are neutral with and have established formal diplomatic relations.
